Design and construction of transparent nozzle for visualization and measurement of the internal flow
Sapík, Marcel ; Fojtlín, Miloš (referee) ; Jedelský, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with design and construction of transparent nozzle for research of internal flow of liquids. The objective was to design potential construction of the nozzle and make a manufacturing drawing. The theoretical part deals with basics of atomization including properties of liquids and describes basic optical methods for internal flow in a nozzle. In the research part of this thesis, a number of construction solutions has been picked to serve as an inspiration for the final shape of the nozzle. Its construction is elaborated in the last part along with a description of the process, a manufacturing drawing, and a visual documentation with a 3D model.
Testing of a transparent model of a pressure-swirl nozzle
Sapík, Marcel ; Pech, Ondřej (referee) ; Jedelský, Jan (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to put a transparent scaled PMMA model of the pressure swirl nozzle into operation, which includes, the selection of working fluids and the preparation of a test set to allow measurements using optical methods (LDA, PDA, PIV, high-speed visualization). The theoretical part describes the basic theory of atomization, optical measurement methods and deals with the problems of optical transition in optically complex systems. It also includes an extensive search for transparent liquids and materials of enlarged models that have been used in experiments, which often aim to match light refractive indices between these materials. In the practical part, attention is paid to the preparation of the test set and tests of chemical effects of several selected liquids on PMMA material are conducted, including a summary of experience with their use, as there was a permanent damage to the material. Several LDA measurements followed, using kerosene, p-cymene, 1-bromonaphthalene and water, evaluated the effect of the refractive index difference on the results. It turned out that no observable influence occurred if the refractive index difference between the nozzle material and the liquid was small. In addition, a visualization of internal flow through a high-speed camera was made. The practical part closes the static pressure measurement in the nozzle chamber, where the pressure ratio was measured on the walls of the chamber as well as on its axis. The measurement confirmed that the pressure on the chamber walls is constant and varies with the distance from the chamber axis.
Acrylic glass base production to gramophone deck
Bezděk, Filip ; Zouhar, Jan (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
This thesis is aimed at a very detailed process of a transparent plexiglass used for manufacturing an upstand of a gramophone. The diploma work is mainly focused on various types of the plexiglass, its attributes and the gramophone’s upstand production. Several manufacturing technologies of a plexiglass such as division of a board-type semi product, precise milling, grinding, polishing and thermal treatment are provided in this diploma work through a very detailed description of a production process of a gramophone’s deck. The outcome of this thesis is a description of individual technologies and the economic evaluation within the real business environment of AZ Plastik company.
Multi-funkcional building
Blahová, Dagmar ; Bolkovec, Martin (referee) ; Sátora, Josef (advisor) ; Mohelníková, Jitka (advisor)
The Bachelor´s thesis on theme Multi-funkcional building deals with the construction of a building with associated functions in Brno-Zábrdovice, Milady Horákové on a plot located in the gap with the original purpose of undeveloped courtyard. It is a multi-storey building with a basement and seven floors. The property has an underground garage which is soluted by systems stackers. As the supporting structure is selected reinforced concrete skeleton system with reinforced concrete reinforcing core. The base structure consists of white bath supplemented with foundation passports and bored piles. The roof is designed as a single-ply flat roof. Part of this thesis was to anchore solutions hanging facade with movable panels of plexiglass. Living space and rentable commercial spaces occupy most of the building.
Návrh skladby kompozitního materiálu s využitím akrylátového skla
Kolomazník, Petr
Thesis focuses on the proposal of the structure and production of composite material from wooden sliver leaves and acrylic glass. The thesis contains information about the development of the structure of composite material from the very beginning till the final acceptable appearance and promising characteristics of created acrylic panel. There is described a ratio of individual components and the acrylic-sliver panel undergoes examinations to find physical and mechanical characteristics: resistance of the surface against abrasion according to ČSN 910276, impact resistance according to BS 3962, surface water resistance according to ČSN 492120, surface roughness ČSN 490211, finding swelling values when stored in water according to ČSN 49 0166, finding flexural modulus according to ČSN EN 310, determining density according to ČSN EN 323 and humidity ČSN EN 13183-1 and following assessment. In the Conclusion there is a comparison of acrylic-sliver panel characteristics with other composite materials and proposal of the panel use in practice.
